September

The month of September went by sooo fast. It always does! It was really good. - I'm going to be really general here. I honestly did so much in one month, I cannot even remember it all. Lol!

School, volunteer work, and continuing to fill out all of the college apps is now in full gear. Also, YG has started and everything. It's nice to get back in the swing of things. RYO has started as well. I cannot believe it's going to be my last year in a lot of this stuff. This year will have a lot of "lasts." I'm really excited and hope to continue to enjoy everything as I always have, and always will. =]

On September 25th, my friends and I saw the movie, Fame. It is excellent. I had chills at the end! It was a very powerful movie. Performing Arts is such a wonderful thing.

I also got a new phone!!! I have the Samsung Rogue. It is truly an amazing phone. I absolutely love it. Go look it up to see all of it's awesome features.

Hope that all is well. I cannot believe that it is already October! It's so weird to see Halloween stuff everywhere now. Wasn't it just August?!

9/11/01 - Never forget...

Never forget. 8 years ago today. =[ I remember it like it was yesterday. I remember what I was wearing, what the weather was like...everything. Please say a prayer for all of those innocent victims who lost their lives 8 years ago today due to this horrific tragedy. Also, don't forget their families, who still live with this awful memory. Pray for all of us in the USA! We are all so fortunate to live in such a wonderful country. Let us all have hope, peace, and joy in the years to come.

Also, I forgot to add in my previous blog, that after school Wednesday, some of my friends and I went to see The Time Traveler's Wife. It was truly a deep and meaningful movie. I absolutely loved it! You have to go see it.

Today, I got my contacts fitted! I really like them so far. They are Acuvue Advance. I can see great! I did really well with getting them in and everything. I love my eye doctor. The whole office is sooo nice. http://www.gfeyeassociates.com/ = their website. I have Dr. Andrea Friedberg. I actually have to go back in a week. These are right now just trial contacts. I do think that they will be good though. =]

Anyway, take a moment of silence today to think about everyone affected by 9/11/01.

School has officially begun...

Hello guys!

My first day of school was Wednesday, September 9th. It was really good! We were only there for about 3 hours, so it was really easy. It was technically orientation and stuff. We hung out in homeroom, got our yearbooks & planners, had an hour meeting with the administration. (It kinda feels like I never left! Ha-ha. Summer went by so fast!) I am really excited for this year. Graduation date = 6/8/10. I can't believe it. - Sooo soon. I'll try not to rush it though! - That's what people keep telling me.

I also had to go in to school today. (For about 3 hours again.) Today was the Activity Fair for all of the new freshman, so all of us club officers had to be there. I am the VP of Photography Club. We set up our table (with all the other clubs) and told the freshman about the club and etc. A LOT of froshies signed up for it. I LOVE photo club. It's actually a really big thing at my school. We have a huge photo show at the end of the year. I hope that whatever college I go to has a photo club! Lol.

Well, tomorrow I have off. I made an appointment to get my contacts fitted. I'll be there for about an hour, learning how to put them in, take them out, and care for them. I'm excited to get them.

Ah, I really miss Summer '09 already. =[ It was such an amazing summer, and I am so sad it's over. It's starting to really hit me now. But, I do have a lot to look forward to this year. It's all good. =]

Last Day of Summer '09

Well, today is officially the last day of Summer '09. It was truly an amazing summer, and I am really sad to see it go. However, I am really looking forward to this coming year. Yay - Class of 2010! There is just so much to look forward to. =]

Also, tonight is the finale of season 1 of a new show on ABC Family, 10 Things I Hate About You. Next to Gilmore Girls, 10 Things is my FAVORITE show. I absolutely love it. It is so great. I've been waiting a while for a good new show like this to come out. I am so glad that it came. Go to abcfamily.com to get more information.

Summer '09!

WOW! It has been a ridiculously long time since I blogged last. I am so sorry guys! Lol.

I do now even know where to begin. Summer '09 was absolutely amazing. Amazing - to say the least. I would definitely say that it was the best summer yet! I am sad to see it leave, but I am truly looking forward to the new year. I am finally a senior. =] It's such an exciting time in my life, and I just cannot wait to see how the journey unfolds.

I did A LOT this summer. (I will be very general here because there is just so much to say.)

I went to a youth scholar camp at Lebanon Valley College, which was an absolute blast! I met so many great people and learned what being a teacher is all about. It confirmed that teaching is definitely my calling. There is nothing I would rather do in the entire world. "It's not about teaching them how much you know, it's about showing them how much you care." I highly recommend the Daniel Fox Youth Scholar's Institute Camp at Lebanon Valley College to anyone. (It's one of those camps that you can pick a major and all.) This past summer was actually the 35th anniversary of the camp. It was just an incredible experience.

I also went to UNC Music Camp. It was nice. I met so many more incredible people. People in the South are so friendly, laid back, and very religious. I just can't get enough of the South. =] Camp was great, except for the nasty swine flu outbreak. (I lasted at the camp the entire time, however, I got the swine flu a day after I got home from the camp. But, thanks to lots of rest and Tamiflu, I am 100% okay. I am actually happy that I got it over with. =])

I also did a lot of college related things this summer. Spent the day with my friend, Wyatt, at UNC and met lots of great people there. Met a couple band directors at different colleges and etc. (Too much stuff to list! Lol.)

We also spent a wonderful week in August in Ocean City, NJ. - The only good thing about NJ! We had perfect weather - 85 and sunny every day! =] It was a great trip.

I did volunteer work this summer and I also worked a lot, which was really fun. I love Gracie's. =]

Anyway, that pretty much sums up my summer. It was crazy busy, but so so fun. Hope that all is well.

Summertime!!!

Since I last blogged, school has officially ended. =] It's amazing how fast this year went. It's cool to be a senior now. =0

Yesterday was my friend Brandon's 17th birthday. So, we went out to the Cheesecake Factory, one of the best restaurants ever, to celebrate. After that, a few of us went to see the movie Up. I absolutely LOVED it. What an amazing and heartfelt movie. I truly recommend it for people of all ages. It was one of the CUTEST movies I have ever seen. =]

No More Class!

Well, Friday, June 5th was officially the LAST day of classes this year. =] Very exciting! This upcoming week is finals. I only have to go in on Tuesday, Wednesday, & Thursday. I am pretty happy about that. It's so cool to be a senior now!

I am so stoked for summer. I have A LOT of fun stuff to look forward to. =]

Yesterday!

Well, it's been a while sing I last blogged! I have been extremely busy lately.

Yesterday was very nice. I woke up and went to my sister's house. I was there for some extra SAT help from my brother-in-law. =]
Later that night, I went to see Ghosts of Girlfriend's Past with a few friends. After that, we came back to my house to swim. We spent most of the time in the hot tub though!

The weather has been so nice this weekend. I hope it is like that all week this week.

I only have 5 more days of class! I cannot believe it! =]

Memorial Day!

Today

Wow, it is so amazing out today! Loving it. =] Today was very nice because I actually got to sleep in. I have had like 5,000 things to do since I last updated. I have been really busy with school stuff and music stuff.

American Idol Finale was just great! I am so happy that Kris Allen won. I just love him. I spent a lot of time voting for him the night before. I truly did NOT want Adam to win. Yeah, he is a good singer, but not an American Idol. Anyway, congrats to Kris!

Hmm...Not too much else is new. Just living the busy life. (Stressful, yes, but I'm loving every minute of it!)

My mom sent me the most AMAZING youtube video last night. This video is soooo powerful. Music has the power to do so much. Enjoy! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0v3d6SFcDys Ha-ha. I want to learn cello now. That would make it 4 instruments! Lol.

Wow, this past week has been hectic. Lol. All of this school stuff just won't stop until like Memorial Day Weekend. (Counting down the days.)

Nothing is really all that new besides school stuff.

The Rowan University Youth Orchestra (a.k.a. RYO) that I am in performed on Sunday, May 3rd. I absolutely love being in this band. I unfortunately have been feeling kinda icky lately. I started to get the Migraine pains on Monday. They have been on and off since. I hope that they go away soon. I usually don't complain too much about health stuff, but Migraine Disease is just awful. I do consider myself lucky though. I could have been diagnosed with something much worse. Ring Mass & Ring Dance

April 24th was an amazing day.

First, was the Ring Mass. It was a really nice ceremony. Fr. Nolan, a teacher at B.E. spoke. His speech was just amazing and so funny. I wish I had his speech on tape! My parents just loved him too. Anyway, we were so lucky to have the beautiful weather we had. It was like sunny and 73 - I think. So, so lucky!

Later, was the Ring Dance. I went with one of my old friends from Washington Township High School. I had TONS of fun. (If you have me on facebook, I have a lot of pics.) It was the best dance yet. I was so glad that everything worked out. A group of us (about 8 people) went to Ponzios in Cherry Hill after the dance. My friend, Tara, had a sleepover at her house after that. The limo was just awesome too. I am so glad that we had one.

SLA trip to Washington D.C.

On Thursday, April 23rd, the SLA club at my school took a trip to Washington D.C. !!! SLA = Student Library Association. It was such a great trip!! The weather was just gorgeous. I took like 300 pictures.

We unfortunately had to be at school at 6 a.m. to leave on the bus. UGH! But, we all tried to sleep on the bus, so it really wasn't that bad. We got back home around 7:30 p.m.

We took an official tour in the Library of Congress, which is really an amazing building. I was so impressed! You definitely have to go see in sometime. It is definitely worth the trip. We also saw the WWII Memorial, Korean War Memorial, Lincoln Memorial. We walked by (or saw from afar) the Washington Monument, Capital, and Thomas Jefferson Memorial. It was really crowded in D.C. It was so great to go back because I haven't been there since spring of 6th grade!

Anyway, it was such a great trip. I was so happy that I went. =]

17 Again

I saw the new movie 17 Again with a few friends last night. It was sooooo good. I think that anyone (any age) will LOVE this movie. It was really, really funny. I definitely want to see it again. Lol! The storyline was so great and all of the characters were amazing. All of the actors and actresses did a great job. I wish this movie much success! Below are some sites about the movie. Happy Saturday!

Hey!

We got home from our trip at about 7:30 last night. The ride home took us 10 hours instead of 7!!! The traffic around Washington D.C. was awful. Oh well!

Today is just so amazing out! 75 and sunny. It doesn't get better than that! =]

Later, I'm going out with friends to see the movie 17 Again. I am looking forward to it. It looks really really good. After that, we're going to TGI Friday's or maybe Friendly's.

Last Two Days of the Trip

Hello!

Wednesday we visited UNC @ Chapel Hill and today was Wake Forest. I liked both of those schools. It's been a very fun trip. =]

Well, this is the end of the official "college road trip." I had a great time seeing all of these schools. I just love the South - as I know I've said a million times. =] Everything is just so different down here.

Back to NJ tomorrow! I feel like I have been away for a month. Lol. (Don't get me wrong, I love to travel.)

Clemson

Hey y'all!

Today, we visited Clemson University. I was very very impressed. It has such a pretty campus. The people at the school we very nice and extremely friendly. I just love Southern people. They are soooooo different! They are so much more relaxed and laid back. Also, all of them are just so friendly. I belong in the South. I can totally picture myself here. =] It's perfect down here. =] Anyway, Clemson was a success.

After our visit to Clemson, we got in the car and drove to Chapel Hill, NC. It took us about 6 hours to get here. We checked in our (final) hotel and went out to eat at a restaurant down the street. Our hotel is right next to the college campus. We are going to walk to the visitors center tomorrow. - It's that close. We will be touring UNC tomorrow. I am really excited.

Charleston Southern and Driving some more

Today we visited Charleston Southern - just outside the city of Charleston. I really liked it there. =] The admissions counselor we met with was just sooo nice. We had a really great tour guide too! It was a really cute, laid back campus. I definitely liked it. =] I was really impressed by the people there. =]

After that we hung around the downtown area in Charleston for a while. We also stopped by the College of Charleston one last time to meet with the admissions counselor there again.

Later, we drove to Clemson, SC. Tomorrow we have a tour there. I'm really excited to see Clemson University! The trip took us about 3 1/2 hours. Clemson is NW of Charleston. The drive here was very amusing. We drove through "Hicksville." It was hilarious. We passed places like "Buck's Produce," "Thelma's Flower Shop," and "Me-maws." It was really funny.

Happy Easter!!

Greetings from Charleston!

I just wanted to wish everyone a very happy, blessed Easter. Hope it's not too cold in NJ. It's just great here. It's sunny and 70. (Don't be jealous.) Lol!

Today, we met up with the girl I know (my mom's coworker's niece) who goes to the College of Charleston. We walked around the college for a while and I got to see her dorm. I was really impressed! It was like an apartment building. =]

Driving and Arriving

Today was the 11 1/2 hour drive to the great city - Charleston, SC!! It was very long, but totally worth it. The rain in NJ, DE, and parts of VA was just awful. It stopped when we got to NC. Thank goodness!

We are staying at the same hotel as last time.We even have the exact same room! Lol. I just love it here. The people are so awesome. I wish we could stay here forever. Well, that's all for now. I will post tomorrow! How all is well in NJ!

Packing!

Today I went to the tailor's to get my dress hemmed and all. I absolutely love my dress! I cannot wait until you all see it. When I put it on I just knew it was the one. =]

I am leaving for Charleston, SC tomorrow and am sooooooo excited to go back there! It's one of my most amazing places that I have ever been too. I cannot wait!! (We won't be staying there the whole trip though.) I am going to visit a few different colleges in NC too - UNC at Chapel Hill and Wake Forest. In SC we will be seeing the College of Charleston again, Charleston Southern, and Clemson.

I will be bringing my laptop on this trip because we want to be able to check our emails while we are away. Also, I will definitely need some entertainment in the 11 hour car drive! I promise to try to post every night. I will definitely share what I did that day.

Wish me good luck packing. I loathe packing. I'm good at it, but I just hate it. Lol.
